The Mekong Tech Festival, spearheaded by Co-founder, Miss Chorlida Leng and Mr. Pichvisal Theam is rapidly emerging as a key event in the region, designed to bridge the gap between technology and various professional fields. Despite not having a tech-related background, Miss Lida’s vision and leadership have been instrumental in making the event a resounding success since year one.
A Visionary Leader with a Practical Approach
“Why choose to do an event with tech when you are not working in the tech industry as well as your educational tech background?” This is a question often posed to Miss Leng. Her response is straightforward and insightful: “Even my educational background is not tech-related, yet I use tech in my professional career. I think tech is going to be like a basic need for professionals and businesses, just like food is a basic need for survival.”
Her belief in the pervasive and indispensable nature of technology in all aspects of professional life is the cornerstone of the Mekong Tech Conference and Expo. This pragmatic perspective resonates with many professionals across diverse sectors who see technology not just as an industry but as an integral part of their everyday work and future growth.

Diverse Engagement and Youth Involvement
Last year’s event was a testament to the broad appeal and interdisciplinary approach of the Mekong Tech Festival. The conference successfully engaged speakers from various backgrounds, including architecture, agriculture, blockchain, telecommunication, public sector, digital governance, etc… This diversity was made possible, in part, through the enthusiastic involvement of youth. “We were able to engage speakers from various backgrounds last year, and I think it is possible because of our team members, they are very passionate about the topics so that the event is heard from mouth to mouth in our communities,” Miss Lida notes.

Growing Interest and Expanding Horizons
The upcoming edition of the Mekong Tech Festival is set to build on the momentum of previous years. There is a burgeoning interest from teenagers and young professionals, which is a promising sign for the future of tech integration across different fields. “This year, we are blessed to have a huge interest from our communities once again,” says Miss Lida, highlighting the conference’s role in inspiring the next generation.
With a dedicated supporting team and an open invitation for public and private engagement, the conference aims to foster even greater collaboration and innovation. The event serves as a platform where professionals, entrepreneurs, and tech enthusiasts can come together to share knowledge, network, and explore the latest technological advancements.

Join the Movement
The Mekong Tech Festival is more than just an event; it’s a movement towards integrating technology seamlessly into every profession. Media partners, store exhibitors, and interested parties/partners are encouraged to participate and contribute to this transformative initiative.
